The block results are announced and it seems that all three partners, as well as a myriad of other faces we've seen before, are present...As well as one Dick Slender, highlighted in a different color.
Sumisu sits on a chair silent by himself indifferent to the loud cheers just outside. Reiko appears saying it's been forever and she struggled to even find him. She says she's getting married to a man she doesn't like but that she has to keep journeying to find her own happiness (her own answer, her own Promised Land) and that she can't just wait for Sumisu forever. Sumisu doesn't say anything. She calls him weak and he still remains silent. She says she's looking forward to the finals.
The first fight is against Tommy Bomber, another soul lost to the maze. Sumisu remains silent and enters the ring.
The second fight is against Axe Duggan who has a really big finger. Against a superstar of unmatched fame, Sumisu remains silent and enters the ring.
Reiko and Akira Saeba talk. Akira curious about how Sumisu is doing and says that he had a nervous breakdown in New York which makes Reiko feel horrible and become concerned though she quickly pins it on Sumisu, saying it's still his fault for not coming to her. Then explaining the situation to Akira, confirming that she's truly engaged and angering Akira though she affirms that she can still fix this. Akira is protective of Sumisu's heart since it's important to a wrestler to remain steel hearted.
The two start bickering like children but finally Reiko admits she could have been nicer to Sumisu. She wants to go apologize immediately but Akira tells her not to since Sumisu needs to focus on the tournament. Reiko worries about it being too late but Akira assures her that Sumisu isn't the type to hold a grudge. Reiko wonders who to root for, Akira or Sumisu.
The third fight is against Akira Saeba. Akira says that he's going to surpass the Red Zone which rouses Sumisu into finally speaking. Saying the entire Saeba family has a large place in his heart, maybe too large of a place. "I don't think I have much time left..."
He asks Wakamoto to give him the strength to truly give it his all in his final fight.
The two embrace as the fight end. Sumisu wonders if this era is just an illusion, saying that even if it were real then the Red Zone is still a fleeting feeling. Sumisu finds his answer: "And yet we seek that perfect moment, that splendid jewel meant only for the chosen one... That's what the truth is." Meanwhile Dick Slender is fighting Sumisu's rival and reveals that he killed Wakamoto...Moments before killing the rival stealing their chance to fight in the finals. All that's left is for Sumisu to defeat Dick Slender in the finals but will his ever wavering heart be able to hold onto the truth he just found?
